Supported DDRs
Diaquest, the industry leader in animation control technology, offers Animaq/Digital, an easy to use, affordable, digital version of its Animaq animation controllers for use with digital disk recorders (DDRs). Animaq/Digital is available for Macintosh and Windows computers and provides a complete digital video I/O solution when interfaced with popular DDRs. See below for supported digital disk recorders.
Animaq/Digital provides a user-friendly application for frame accurate control and image transfer to and from DDRs from any computer on the network. Animaq/Digital is a complete digital link between DDRs and computer workstations over Ethernet and SCSI. No computer video frame buffer is required to record or capture D-1 or component analog video.
Animaq/Digital automates the recording and capture of images and image sequences to and from the DDR directly from the computer workstation. Animaq/Digital remotely and frame accurately controls the DDR over the network and performs high quality, bi-directional color space conversion on image sequences during the transfer process.
Animaq/Digital provides Macintosh and Windows users with an affordable, high-quality digital video I/O solution essential for desktop video production.Product includes software, manual and security lock. For Macintosh users: USB dongles are shipped unless ADB dongles are specified.

VTR Auto-Edit Option for DDR - VTR capture and layback
Allows the user to perform frame-accurate edits between DDRs and RS-422 9-pin serial VTRs. Transfers of video clips between DDR and computer are controlled from the desktop. Frame code and SMPTE time code are supported for remote transport control of both DDR and VTR. See below for supported digital disk recorders.
Animaq/Digital Pro for Macintosh
In addition to the features listed above, Animaq/Digital Pro has 10-bit YUV support for the Accom 2Xtreme and Sierra Design Labs QuickFrame/DISKcovery. Animaq/Digital Pro automatically configures to 8-bit or 10-bit operation as appropriate. Both native YUV file transfers and RGB-YUV conversions take advantage of the wider 10-bit YUV color space.
Animaq/Digital Pro provides user configurable black/white levels and gamma curve adjustments for the Diaquest software RGB-YUV color space conversions. This is particularly useful for those doing film-video transfers, wishing to enhance contrast or match footage from disparate sources, or generating alpha channels with "superblack" levels.
Animaq/Digital Pro has optional chroma anti-aliasing when recording to the digital disk recorder. This is useful when performing multi-generational transfers to the digital disk recorder.
Animaq/Digital Pro for Macintosh is currently available. Our version for Windows 95/98/NT is expected to be released in the near future.
