DQ-TimeCoder-232TM works with Media 100 on Macintosh computers and selected RS-232 serial controlled decks to provide frame accurate machine control and time code stamping.

DQ-TimeCoder-232TM provides machine control over supported RS-232 VTRs (Play, Stop, Fast, Step, Cue, etc.) from inside of Media 100. DQ-TimeCoder-232TM allows the user to capture Media 100 clips with time code, and to generate edit decision lists. DQ-TimeCoder-232TM provides the ability to log tapes, create and execute batch capture lists and automatically recapture clips at higher data rates. DQ-TimeCoder-232TM also provides for the time code based recording of Media 100 movies out to tape. These functions require both time code and video machine control, and are not available without DQ-TimeCoder-232TM.
