Read and write to DDRs within Adobe After Effects and Photoshop |
| Diaquest DDR Exchange for After Effects is a digital video plug-in for Adobe After Effects and selected Digital Disk Recorders (DDRs). DDR Exchange helps to integrate Adobe After Effects into the production environment. Video images and sequences on DDRs can be viewed or captured directly from within After Effects. Similarly, After Effects compositions can be rendered directly out to DDRs. DDR Exchange frame accurately captures video sequences for image processing, compositing and digital effects with uncompressed image quality. DDR Exchange provides fast, automated digital video transfers via SCSI or Ethernet. It also provides automated high quality color space conversion between the computer and DDR video environments. Because the YUV/RGB colorspace conversion in DDR Exchange is symmetrical, an image will look the same after multiple round trips between the DDR and After Effects. Diaquest DDR Exchange for Adobe Photoshop allows DDR video frames to be viewed, imported, and exported directly from within Photoshop. DDR Exchange is available in Standard, Professional and HighDefinition versions to allow users to capture and export uncompressed video frames or sequences to external Digital Disk Recorders via Ethernet and SCSI from within Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. |

| DDR Exchange Pro supports 10-bit YUV transfers for Doremi V1, Sierra Design Labs QuickFrame / DISKcovery / Ultra IO and Accom WSD Digital Disk Recorders. DDR Exchange Pro allows level & gamma adjustments to be made in the DDRs native YUV colorspace for highest image quality. By providing adjustments for gamma and black and white levels, the user can choose to expand the dynamic range or change the linearity of these color space conversions. This can be useful for footage which is transferred from or to film, for producing full range blacks or whites from low contrast footage, for producing wider luminance ranges for key channels or for empirical luminance matching between footage from 2 different sources. |
